Lab Readout

Email preferences

Two kinds of email, kept apart.

Holding an account is not marketing consent, and requesting the Reading Kit is not either. Here is exactly what each one means and how to change it.

Account email

Purpose

Verifying your address, recovering your password, telling you a report is ready.

Your control

Sent because you hold an account and asked for that action. There is no unsubscribe while the account exists — deleting the account is what stops it.

Educational emails

Purpose

Occasional lessons on reading laboratory documentation.

Your control

Entirely optional, and only ever sent after you tick the box and then confirm by clicking a link. Unsubscribe from any message, permanently.

Changing your preferences

Where the actual switch lives.

This page cannot show your subscription state, and that is deliberate — it would need your address in the URL, which would also make the page a way to test whether an address is on our list.

Unsubscribe from a message

Every educational email carries an unsubscribe link bound to your address. It is the fastest route and it takes effect permanently.

If you have an account

Account settings show each named email purpose and its current status, tied to your verified identity.

An unsubscribe is permanent unless you ask for it back. A later Reading Kit request will not revive a subscription you withdrew, and a confirmation link issued before you unsubscribed cannot reverse it.
