Uploads need somewhere private to live and somewhere to return to. We are not offering anonymous analysis, because the ownership, expiry and abuse controls that would make it safe are not finished — and we would rather say that than take your document first.

Before you upload
Four things worth knowing.
- Where the file goes
- Private storage scoped to your workspace. It is not public, not shared, and not readable by another account.
- What leaves the system
- Document text is sent to an external AI provider to produce the explanation. That is how the readout is generated, and we would rather say it here than bury it.
- What you confirm
- That you are permitted to upload the document. This version accepts material COAs, not personal medical records.
- What it is not
- Not newsletter consent. Creating an account and uploading a file subscribes you to nothing.

What file formats can I upload?
PDF, JPEG, PNG and WebP, up to 20 MB per file. The limit is enforced by the storage bucket and checked again on the server.
Does this test the product?
No. Lab Readout reads a document that someone else produced. It performs no laboratory analysis, and a readout is never a determination that a material is safe for human use.
What happens to my file?
It is stored privately, readable only through your account. Document text is sent to an external AI provider to produce the explanation. You can request deletion, and what is kept for how long is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Do I need an account?
Yes, a free one. Saving reports and returning to them requires somewhere to save them to.
